Since the top four teams get a by this week, the winners of these games will play the top four next week. The losing teams can continue to play each other the next few weeks for fun.

The following top four teams can play "Just for fun" games this week:

Stimulus Package vs. Greyhounds - Lakefield

Also note that the finals will take place under the lights at the East Gate field (across from Beavermead) on Thursday, September 2nd. See you there!

Hey PUL people, I know it doesn't really need to be said that the success of our league is the reflection of a lot of people committing their time, effort, great ideas and good mojo. One of those main contributors is AJ Sainsbury, a player who has been instrumental in running a number of beginner clinics as well as the coach of the women's competitive team, Frank. Those who know AJ are quick to acknowledge her talent for teaching the game, of always creating a positive environment for those just learning the basics, while maintaining that competitive 'do your damndest' attitude on the field. Well, AJ's also been selected to be the team manager of the Canadian junior squad that's about to head to Prague for the World Championships later this month. Yeah, impressive. So as a small measure of our appreciation we've awarded AJ a modest bursary of $250 on behalf of the league to help her offset some of the costs of those extra large steins of pilsner they're so famous for in the Czech Republic. In honour of this completely random award, we're calling it the Ian Reeves Coaching Bursary (for those of you who remember another stellar PUL coach). Congratulations, AJ. You rawk.
