We’re excited to share that registration for our Spring Junior Programs will be opening up on Monday February 5th.
Junior Program (kids aged 8-12)
This program is for kids aged 8-12, born in 2012-2016. This 8-week program will run Monday nights from May 6th until June 24th, from 6:00-7:30pm. The first two weeks we are planning to be held at Holy Cross*, with the remaining 6 weeks will be held at the Bridgenorth Fields.
This fun education program aims to offer our youth the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of Ultimate Frisbee and play in a recreational league environment. Emphasis is placed on skills, drills and game play. Our groups will be made based on age AND skill.
Cost for this program is $75 and will include a reversible pinnie.
*Time and field location will be confirmed once we receive our final field allocations.
Junior Program (kids aged 13-17)
This program is for kids 13-17, born in 2006-2011. This 8-week program will run Wednesday nights from May 15th to July 3rd, 6:30-8:30. This league will be run on grass fields, hence the later start date, and the location will be determined once we have final field allocations, but will be held in Peterborough.
Kids will be divided onto balanced teams and will play different teams each week, ending with semi’s and finals for a league winning team. Each team will have at least one adult coach to help provide on-field guidance and direction.
We will aim for team play of 7×7, but it will depend on registration numbers.
Cost for this program is $75 and will include a reversible pinnie.
Important Information:
As a previous email stated, our league is moving towards a membership based model. In order for you to register your Junior players, you must first register for a Junior Membership (registration for this opens February 1st, and costs $10). If you try to register for the Junior programming without paying the Junior membership fee it will not allow you to. We kept our 2024 Program Costs the same as 2023 to help with this transition.
Also, for those who have credits on their Junior accounts due to the unfortunate need of cancelling our Winter Programs, there will be a spot, once you move to the payment portion of registration, that will allow you to use your credit.
