As we slowly work our way out of lockdown and restrictions we need to look ahead at our summer play. There are still unknowns and we hope to have more answers as we get closer to game day.
But we are almost ready to open up!
Read what follows VERY CAREFULLY please. This is COMPLICATED.
We will be building cohorts of 25 people, who will meet weekly to play. Teams will be formed on the field week-to-week.
Interested players need to make two decisions: WHEN to start, and WHAT NIGHT to play.
WHEN TO START:
Step 2 League – This leagues opens a little earlier, starting July 6th (fingers crossed) for those who are eager to get back on the field ASAP. There will be a limit of 25 people per field, which will NOT ALLOW FOR SPECTATORS (including children).
Step 3 League – Commences at the next level of openings, hopefully three weeks later. This league will be for those who may be a little bit more hesitant getting back on the field, or who need to bring children to the sidelines.
WHAT NIGHT TO PLAY:
Players may indicate interest for Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or select a ‘double’ option of Tuesday & Thursday (which would be the same cohort of 25, but playing together twice a week).
PRICE:
Costing will be $10 per week. So if you participate in Step 2 League and it starts on time and runs for 8 weeks, it will be $80. If you participate in Step 3 League cost will be $50. If you choose to participate in a double night league in either Step 2 or Step 3 League (play both Tuesday and Thursday) cost will double.
We are offering a number of options at this point, but if the numbers don’t warrant it we will have to make some adjustments. Meaning, if only 14 choose to play on a Tuesday night, we will contact you to see if you would be open to participating in another night of the week.
We are aiming for gender parity, but realize this summer is unique.
WHO TO PLAY WITH:
We also know people want to play with their friends. Below there will be a space for you to write the names of the people you would like to play with – list 24 friends if you want! If you are an individual who is new to our community and don’t know 24 others, no sweat we will do our best to accommodate everyone.
There will be a bit more background logistics to this summer, so no yelling at the help!
Once we have the leagues formally set up you will be given an official registration link for payment.
