Harvest Volunteers - Just Need a Few More

Hey all, happier Harvest weekends happen when lotsa people chip in, and while we really appreciate the efforts of those who've already signed up to help out, we could use a few more for shifts on Saturday morning, Sunday morning and Sunday afternoon. Two Things: Harvest Volunteering and BYDTWD

Hey PUL, we're needing some more representation for Harvest on the volunteer front. What many people probably don't know is that it's not a full weekend commitment, rather, you can sign up for a four-hour shift (or more if you prefer) when you click on the Harvest Volunteer tab to the right. This is a great event on the PUL calendar featuring some great disc and, more importantly, tons of great people from all over, including Halifax and Montreal this year. So please, here's a great opportunity to give to the community and do Peterborough proud.

Secondly, as a follow up to Bring Your Disc to Work Day this Thursday, we've drafted a note that's going out to a bunch of schools who participated in our spring clinic program. If you know teachers (or teachers' parents, siblings, grandchildren, pets, etc.) who'd appreciate this, please direct them to the site or simply send along the PDF we've attached here.

Bring Your Disc to Work Day - Sept. 15th

Sure, the summer season may be over so now it's time to start indoctrinating others as to the wonders of Ultimate. Thursday September 15th marks Bring Your Disc to Work Day, a chance to encourage a little more activity than the gossiping, surfing or snoozing that typically defines your break time. Yes, grab a disc, take it to work and prompt others to go out and throw during a break or at lunch or after work. Need to get a disc to share with your co-workers? Contact Cam. Might be the best $12 you'll spend on your career. I mean, hell, I'd promote you. Then again, what happens when you've got the entire office out for the afternoon playing?
